Giving back to the community using technology – that is the mission of the Equal Footing Foundation. Our involvement in community projects is based on some specific criteria:

• the project should be based primarily in the Northern Virginia region
• it should be in partnership with another non-profit group or organization
• it must use or involve technology in an interesting way

If the project qualifies for endorsement by the Equal Footing Foundation, a plan and budget is designed and presented to the Foundation Board of Directors for approval. Once approved, NVTC members, and the community at large, along with NVTC staff and other volunteers, become actively involved in supporting the project.
