NVTC Foundation Honors Lee Technologies with NVTC 2004 Volunteer Service Award

McLean, VA - Thursday, April 22, 2004 This morning Volunteer Fairfax hosted more than 750 at their annual Volunteer Service Awards at the Hilton McLean. Each year, the Northern Virginia Technology Council Foundation presents the NVTC Volunteer Service Award to a member company that has demonstrated outstanding volunteer service in the community.

The 2004 winner of the prestigious NVTC Volunteer Service Award was Lee Technologies of Fairfax. Lee Technologies demonstrated both a financial and personal commitment to the community through a series of unique programs. Lee Technologies has made a series of financial commitments to local charities and non-profit organizations and allows employees to spend company time volunteering with local community groups and schools. Lee Technologies also encourages individual employees to donate money to charities of their choice and offers a matching program for any donation. This year's finalists were PEC Solutions, Cox Communications and Lee Technologies.

"I am pleased to recognize an NVTC member that has been active within our own organization and who has been dedicated to this community for over twenty years. All of our nominees have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community issues and development," said Dan Bannister, Chairman of the NVTC Foundation.

Previous winners of the NVTC Volunteer Service Award include LeapFrog Solutions and Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (2003), Sensei Enterprises (2002), Landmark Systems Corporation (2001), and Computer Sciences Corporation (2000). These companies have all been active and dedicated members of the community who have donated money, employee time, personal commitment and other services.
