Mission

The Equal Footing Foundation was founded to encourage and facilitate corporate efforts to give back to the community. The Foundation specifically looks for community initiatives based in Northern Virginia that include technology as an important component in their mission. The Equal Footing Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Goals

To ensure that current advances in technology reach all sectors of the community and help to improve the lives of children and adults in this region. The Equal Footing Foundation also wants our community to recognize that the technology industry in this region has a firm commitment to community service.

Well it's been a great three and-a-half years since we launched the Equal Footing Foundation. In March 2001, we began with a strong mission and some pretty lofty goals, which, I am proud to say, have for the most part been met, thanks to generous support from NVTC members and the Northern Virginia community. Much of our effort has been focused on laying a solid foundation with a few focused projects upon which we could build and expand in the future. See our Annual Report
