The Equal Footing Foundation was founded to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of children and adults in Northern Virginia. Together with our corporate sponsors, local government and business partners, the foundation helps fund, launch and sustain Computer Clubhouses that currently serve over 1,500 youth in six locations. Through these clubhouses and other technology-related programs, we are able to help facilitate corporate efforts to give back to the community.

"The Equal Footing Foundation serves as a vehicle through which local corporations can contribute to the education and development of area youth by supporting programs that teach and empower the next generation of community leaders."

Dan Gonzalez
Foundation Chairman

Equal Foundation serves children ages 8-18, in an after school program focused on youth development and education. The success of Equal Footing Foundation’s programs is directly connected to our volunteer and mentor community. We look for volunteers and mentors of all backgrounds who enjoy giving back to the community by donating their time. The types of volunteering and mentoring opportunities offered through the Computer Clubhouse program vary. From homework help to general Microsoft literacy skills; from graphics and Web design, to assistance in programming for robotics and rocketry; our programs deliver and adventure in education!

The volunteer and mentor opportunities available are for the six Computer Clubhouses located in FairfaxCounty community centers.  Equal Footing Foundation is looking for individuals like you to come in to the Clubhouse and make a difference! To start the process, please contact Colleen Hahn at
